Commander, US-NYSCRT

Rev. Betsy I Panameno was born in September 1969 in San Miguel, El Salvador. At the age of 18, in 1987, she relocated to Puerto Rico, where she completed her high school education at Ramey Aguadilla High School. Continuing her pursuit of knowledge, she attended the Universidad Interamericana, focusing on Social Sciences.
Her spiritual journey began at the age of 15 when she accepted Jesus into her life, setting the foundation for her lifelong commitment to faith. As the eldest of four siblings and a pastor’s kid, she was raised in a deeply spiritual environment that shaped her character and values.

Blessed with a marriage of 31 years, Rev. Panameno and her husband are proud parents of two wonderful children. Throughout her life, she has been dedicated to serving her community and nurturing the development of children. Her outstanding contributions were recognized by the Nassau County Legislature, citing her commitment to education and child development through her work at the Manhasset/Great Neck EOC Head Start Child Development Program.

Rev. Panameno has been actively involved in ministry, holding various leadership positions within her local church. She has served as a Youth Pastor, Sunday School Teacher, Missionates Leader, and Church Service Interpreter. Additionally, she has been involved in the church’s administrative tasks, serving as Secretary and participating in the Sectional and local Women’s Ministry.

Driven by her passion for theological studies, Rev. Panameno completed three years of theology studies, earning a “Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology” from the Spanish Eastern Bible Institute of the Assemblies of God RAMA Nassau. Her dedication to professional development is further evidenced by her attainment of a “Family Development Credential” from Molloy College Continuing Education and Professional Development in 2013.

Currently, Rev. Panameno serves as a Teaching Assistant for the Port Washington School District, where she works in the PK Program. Prior to this role, she dedicated nine years of service to the Head Start program as a Social Worker, providing invaluable support to families in the communities of Manhasset, Great Neck, Roslyn, and Port Washington. Her commitment to education, community service, and ministry reflects her unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Currently, I am proud to be a part of the US-NYS Chaplain Response Team, Inc., where I find deep fulfillment and joy in serving God’s work. As a member of this team, I am committed to providing support and guidance to those in crisis, contributing to the greater good of our community and beyond.
