Chaplain Rank Structure
1. Field Agent
Completion of the US-NYSCRT Community Crisis Chaplaincy Program with success.
Completion of FEMA IS-100.C: Introducción al Sistema de Comando de Incidentes, ICS 100 (español)
What you receive:
- Completion of the US-NYSCRT Community Crisis Chaplaincy Program with success
- US-NYS Chaplain Response Team Certificate.
- Chaplain ID Card (Good for one year).
- Badge/Shield & Wallet.
2. First Class Chaplain
Completion of the US-NYSCRT Community Crisis Chaplaincy Program with success.
Completion of the Crisis, Trauma, and First Response Certificate Program with success.

- The American Red Cross
- FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency)
- National Center for Crisis Management

- National Disaster Interfaith Network (NDIN)
- The Green Cross Academy of Traumatology

- Certificate of Promotion to “First Class Chaplain”.
- “First Class Chaplain” printed on your Chaplain ID card.
3. Certified Crisis Chaplain (CCC)
Completion of the US-NYSCRT Community Crisis Chaplaincy Program with success.
Completion of the Crisis, Trauma, and First Response Certificate Program with success.
Completion of One Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Unit.

4. Board Certified Crisis Chaplain (BCCC)
Completion of the US-NYSCRT Community Crisis Chaplaincy Program with success.
Completion of the Crisis, Trauma, and First Response Certificate Program with success.
Board Certification from a Recognized Professional Chaplaincy Organization such as:
- American Correctional Chaplains Association.
- Association of Certified Christian Chaplains.
- Association of Professional Chaplains.
- Canadian Association for Spiritual Care.
- Center for Spiritual Care & Pastoral Formation.
- College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy
- Healthcare Chaplains Ministry Association
- International Association of Christian Chaplains
- National Association of Catholic Chaplains
- National Association of Veteran Affairs Chaplains
- National Conference of Veterans Affairs Catholic Chaplains
- Neshama: Association of Jewish Chaplains
- National Institute of Business and Industrial Chaplains
- Spiritual Care Association
What you receive:
